Year 1 & 2
Key Stage 1 (Year 1 & 2)
We wanted to write a short message to you to tell you we are thinking about you all.
Please see the possible timetable for learning at home, this is an example of how you might like to structure your child’s day. We are aware that everyone’s household runs differently, so please do change it to suit your family.
Child initiated is time for your child to explore and learn from play, this could be playing with toys, drawing, writing, role play, being creative etc. At school at the end of the day we sometimes liked to practice mindfulness meditation, I have outlined 10 minutes in the timetable for this – this is a time for your child to take a moment to think about how they are feeling or complete some mindfulness colouring.
Please take pictures of your child’s work and upload it to google classroom for us to see and send a message back to the. As always, it is important for children to read and be read to, please set aside just 10 minutes a day to share a story or two.
If you have any questions, need support or anything at all, please drop us an email or a comment on Google Classroom.
