Duke of Yorks Military School
Duke of Yorks Military School in Dover
We are running a special partnership with the Duke of Yorks Military School in Dover.
The Dukies Award helps the children to learn useful and important life skills which they will find useful now and in the future, as well as making them a more confident, independent and practical person.
How the Dukies’ Award scheme works:
We have created a number of fun tasks, challenges and activities for the children which will teach them useful life skills and support learning.
There will be three awards:
Bronze, Silver and Gold.
By completing the skills and challenges in each category the children will work towards their awards.
The fantastic, tenacious and excellent role models of the DOYMS Sixth Form deliver workshops regularly across each term.
They deliver workshops helping the younger children develop in their school life as well as personal hygiene, road safety and what they want to do when they grow up and much more.
At the end of this academic year, the Martello Children will visit The Duke of York’s Royal Military School, for a special day of fun and learning with access to the swimming pool, sports hall, climbing wall, hockey pitches, sports field and athletics track.
